First Listen: "Avenue" by Fantasy Island

Have you ever wondered what an indie pop track would sound like if it were being pumped out of a psychedelic '60s carousel? Of course you have. Well, wonder no more, thanks to this splendid, pulsing track from Fantasy Island, the Los Angeles duo composed of Alex Jacob and Spencer Frazen. So many things are going on that we love about this single, not least of all the Tom Jones-like backing vocals toward the end and the warbling synths soaking up the beat.
