The duo behind Duckie Brown is stirring things up at Perry Ellis. Since taking over as Creative Directors in 2012, Steven Cox and Daniel Silver have managed to assimilate their signature quirkiness into a more commercially-driven brand. Their first collection last Spring was a khaki-dominated proposition thought as an homage to Perry Ellis, the man.
For Fall, Cox and Silver tried to refine the identity of the label and stepped away from any reference to the past. They imagined a collection that could stand on its own and claim its place in the fashion world. Camouflage and paisley prints take over last season's monochromes, silhouettes are lengthened, and colors get richer with olive green, deep burgundy and mustard yellow.
