Portlandia’s Carrie Brownstein Discusses Her Many Awkward Marriage Proposals

It seems that, at heart, Portlandia's Carrie Brownstein is an old fashioned lady, at least in the marriage department. With her and Fred Armisen's IFC show now a bonafide hit, it seems that fans are coming out of the social media wood work to get down on one digital knee.

"You're getting marriage proposals now, from fans," remarked Conan O'Brien during last night's interview with the pair. "How does this feel, that must be...a compliment?"

"Really!?" retorted Brownstein. "On Twitter or an Instagram comment seems like a not very romantic way to propose."

Brownstein, who has received enough of the propositions for it to be a thing, has come up with a novel way of dealing with it: saying yes to them and having her own mini-Bachelorette type show. Like you wouldn't pay for cable to watch that.
