The iconic glam band has enlisted non other than Adam Lambert

Not many artists today can compare to the legendary Freddie Mercury. His vocal range, aesthetic, and overall rock-star nature was unlike anything the world had ever seen. Since his death, he's inspired countless artists such as Lady Gaga, Scissor Sisters—and now Adam Lambert. According to The Advocate, Lambert has confirmed that he will take the stage with legendary rock band Queen during the Sonisphere festival this summer in England.

Late Monday, Lambert tweeted, “As many suspected, I can finally confirm: I have been invited by Queen to sing one very special concert! Sonisphere at Knebworth July 7th! Sorry to be coy about the details the past few weeks, but I made a promise to keep it under wraps as best I could. Gonna be a surreal night!”
Following his tribute performance to the band during last November's MTV Europe Music Awards, rumors swirled of Lambert's involvement with the group however these can all now be confirmed. Adam owes a lot to the '70s glam band if you can recall his very first audition to American Idol with "Bohemian Rhapsody".

Lambert will take stage with Queen on the second day of the festival at Knebworth Park in Stevenage, north of London, July 7.

I can't think of anyone else who could pay better homage to Freddie Mercury's memory than Adam Lambert. Adam's vocals, his, range ,his theatrical dynamic and his awesome charisma, may not be like Freddies, but it 's certainly within the same amazing entertainment sphere.
