Wilson Cruz is a well known and openly gay American actor of Puerto Rican descent, who is best known for his role as Rickie Vasquez in the hit 90's show "My So Called Life". When Cruz was 19 years old and came out to his parents, his father immediately kicked him out, which forced him to live in his car for many, many months. This incident had a profound effect on his life, and would encourage him to serve as an advocate for gay youth, especially gay youth of color.
