I Am Cait Banned in Africa
After many complaints, MultiChoice bans Caityln Jenner's show across Africa.Â
MultiChoice, one of the largest satellite television providers in Africa, has decided to remove I Am Cait from its local E! Entertainment channel across the continent.
The decision was made after Nigerian viewers complained that the show was not good for their children, reports a Nigerian media outlet.
The company made the choice out of the "respect" for its customers, according to Gay Star News:
"MultiChoice recognizes the importance of respecting the views of its customers and all regulatory enviroments within which its service operates," the company said in a statement.

This is not the first time that MultiChoice has banned a show about transgender individuals; last October, they pulled I Am Jazz, a reality show starring trans teen and activist Jazz Jennings, following complaints by Nigerian viewers.
Both series recently won Outstanding Reality Program at the 27th annual GLAAD Media Awards.
