Photo: Vanity Fair
In a video that will restore your faith in humanity and the upcoming generation, children react to finding out that Caitlyn Jenner recently transitioned.
"Could you describe the person in this photo?" an off-screen voice asks, "just something you observe about him," as someone holds up a picture of Bruce Jenner during his Olympic glory days. Words like "strong arms" are used, and they all immediately notice that he's an athlete.
Afterward, one of Catilyn Jenner's Vanity Fair photos (above) is shown to the same children and they're asked, "How would you describe this person?" In a heartwarming and genuine response, the children use words like "happy," "calm," "confident," and one even says she "looks like she's in charge and she knows what she's doing." Coincidentally, these are some of the ways that Jenner describes herself now.
Once the children are told that the pictures they were shown are of the same person they're read some of the social media responses that Jenner received, both positive and negative. Their empathy for Jenner is both incredibly admirable and will hopefully stay with them as they mature and become members of society.
The video was produced by SheKnows Media's Hatch program, which is "content for grown-ups made by kids with a mission," and "gives tweens and teens the skills to create fun, inspiring, thoughtful content," per their website. Watch below.
