"My father always called me the biggest dreamer," recalls Browne, whose iconic shrunken suits gave American menswear a much-needed jolt of energy from which we're still benefitting. "Ever since college, it's been a lot of years of fulfilled dreams." The designer, who only added womenswear to his portfolio in 2010, received the ultimate accolade in January when Michelle Obama chose one of his creations for the president's inauguration. "I met her the summer before at the White House," says Browne. "That was a dream come true, too."
