Listen to 'Dance With You' From Upcoming Broadway Musical The Prom

The upcoming Broadway musical The Prom is a hilarious new musical comedy that tells the story of four overblown Broadway actors who decide to become celebrity activists to salvage their reputations. When they hear that a high school prom is canceled in rural Indiana when a girl wants to take her girlfriend to the prom, they go down there to affect change and the save the day...making things so, so much worse. Musical comedy hilarity ensues, but so does a really timely and moving story about the power of young people to change hearts and minds.

Caitlin Kinnunen plays Emma, a teenage girl who just wants to take her girlfriend to prom. In an exclusive first listen, Kinnunen sings "Dance With You," which comes early in the show. "My character, 'Emma,' sings it to her girlfriend and it captures the simple essence of what the show is about. All she wants to do is be able to dance with her girlfriend and be like every other kid. She can't wrap her head around why other people won't let her do that. I am so incredibly excited to bring the role of 'Emma' to life on Broadway and am honored to get to tell this remarkable, original story. It's truly one for our generation and I can't wait for people to experience it!"
