It's not always hugs and glowing praise when it comes to remakes in the entertainment world.
Exhibit A: during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live Patti Lupone called out Madonna for her performance in Evita. After being asked by host Andy Cohen what Lupone, who originated the role of Evita in the 1979 Broadway production, thought of Madonna's role in the film version she recalled seeing the video of Madonna performing "Buenos Aires" and thinking it was "a piece of shit."

"Madonna is a movie killer," Lupone said. "She's dead behind the eyes, she can't act her way out of a paper bag. She should not be in film or on stage. She's a wonderful performer for what she does, but she is not an actress." And that's all she had to say (or really needed to be said) about that. Watch, below.
