UPDATE: Occupy Wall Street Protesters Hit Fashion Week, Fail to Stop Calvin Klein Show

A demonstration is planned for today's Calvin Klein womenswear show.

It's the last day of New York Fashion Week, and while most of the bells and whistles have finally died down, there are two iconic American labels that traditionally play caboose for the week's festivities: Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. But, as Gawker reports, things may not go gently into that good night. It appears that protesters from the uprising Occupy Wall Street are planning to march to the Calvin Klein venue and rally at the first of two shows, at 2pm. Once there, they hope to convince 99 attendees to paint their eyes red in a show of solidarity. Should they not be able to find acheive their goal at the first presentation, they're planning to somehow shut down the second, which starts at 3pm. Sounds like an interesting proposition, and it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out (like, is red eyeshadow going to start trending next season?) You can too, one supposes, if you follow #OccupyFashion on Twitter.

UPDATE: An Out friend, who attended the 3pm viewing of the collection, told us: "It was cold and rainy, and everyone had umbrella's, so that was the biggest annoyance of getting into the venue. Other than that, there were a few people out front talking about how the people attending the show were turning a blind eye to the destruction of our nation, and supporting a culture of consumerism and elitism. It was mildly unnerving at best, but the fact that one was wearing a chicken costume took any menace out of it. No one paid much mind, and thee was no outward hostility. The show—which was really beautiful—went off without a hitch as far as I could tell."
