Name: Wendell Lissimore
Age: 24
Hometown: I was born in Iowa originally. My dad was in the Army so from there I moved to the Dominican Republic. We lived in Germany. We lived all over. Then I came here, to New York, when I was 10 or 11.
How were you discovered? I was at a fashion show -- not as a model -- and this guy named Adrian saw me and said, "You need to model." And I thought, "Nah, I don't want to do that." While I was at the show, Adrian introduced me to an agent, George, who was asking me, "What number were you? What outfit did you have on?" and I said, "Oh, no. I was sitting front row. I wasn't in the show." He gave me his card and I threw it away [laughs.] Two days later, I saw him coming out of H&M. He tapped me on the shoulder and gave me his card again. That weekend, coming out of the movie theater, he tapped me on the shoulder again. I turned around and was like, "Wow…three times in one week. It's meant to be." I wasn't doing anything at the time -- I was 19, and my mom said, "Well, you're not doing anything..." So I called him and everything took off from there. I was in Paris and Milan three weeks later.
What was your first big shoot? L'Uomo Vogue.
Were you nervous? Super nervous, but I had done a few test shoots before that with Cliff Watts and that helped me feel more comfortable.
Name: Thiago Ribeiro
Age: 27
Hometown: South Brazil
How did you get scouted? I was on the beach in Brazil and a man gave me his card. I went to Asia as a model for three years, but I was being a party boy and having fun. Now I'm taking it more seriously, so I came to America, to New York City, to be more professional and make a living.
What were you doing before you started modeling? I was studying acting and was working as a spokesperson at events. Then, I studied advertising in college.

Age: 20

What were you doing before modeling: I was going to community college and working part-time, nothing too serious.
How were you discovered: I was always interested in modeling so I took some Polaroids and looked on MODELS.com and sent them to the top 10 agencies and heard back from a few, but ultimately decided on Red. I moved here about three weeks ago.
What was your first shoot? About two hours after I got here! It was just a test shoot.
Were you nervous? Yeah, I was pretty nervous. I was brand new, fresh off the plane [laughs.]
What do you like the most about modeling: I like the atmosphere -- it’s not actual work. It's fun and enjoyable. It's not a desk job.
What do you like least: The waiting. The last minute appointments and rushing.
What has been your favorite job? Working with Greg Vaughan. I just did a Reebok shoot with him. Good atmosphere and I liked the other models.
Do you have a fitness routine: In Florida, I used to go to the gym and do lifting, but now I'm not trying to get any bigger, so I just run -- hopefully once a day, but running around for appointments can get tiring. But I try.
Do you adhere to a diet: I know a lot about nutrition, so I try to stick to a bodybuilders diet: low carbs, lots of protein. Stuff like that.
Any side projects that you're working on? I'm trying to get my personal trainer's license. Like CPR certification and that stuff. I'm trying to be a personal trainer eventually, so I'm working on that.
Boxers or briefs: I used to wear boxers when I was younger, but I wear briefs now -- they're a bit more grown up.
