Harvey Milk became the first openly gay elected official in California making headlines internationally and providing an enduring message of hope to all in 1977. Milk encouraged LGBT citizens to live their lives openly. He believed coming out was the only way they could change society and achieve social equality.
Milk is revered globally as a pioneer of the LGBT civil rights movement for his exceptional leadership, coalition building and dedication to equality.
Today, Harvey's dream of a world that celebrates human diversity continues through the award-winning programs of the Harvey Milk Foundation. This limited edition bottle commemorates the 40th anniversary of Harvey taking office in 1978 and is inspired by a mural created by Paraguayan artist Oz Montania.
