One Million Moms Aren't Happy About Urban Outfitters' Lesbian Kiss
By Out.com Editors
One Million Moms, the group that derided JCPenney for hiring Ellen DeGeneres as its spokesperson, has moved on from the talk show host and is now focusing on the indie clothing boutique Urban Outfitters, The Advocate is reporting. The sorority of concerned mothers makes it their mission to "inform you about a particular issue (TV network, sponsor, or station), giving you a link to a 'take action' page on the website." so that you may "email the responsible party. That's it!" Love the deep-rooted passive aggressive bitchery implied in the "That's it!" Anyways, the trifle that is so deeply disturbing the 1 Million Madres today is an Urban Outfitters catalaogue that features two darling girls following the gospel of Katy Perry and getting their sapphic lip-lock on. "The ad and catalog are clearly geared toward teenagers. The content is offensive and inappropriate for a teen who is the company's target customer," say the multitude of mommies. But if the Million Moms are only paying attention to the amount of lip gloss these two gals are swapping, their missing the whole point of a clothing catalogue...the clothing. However are they going to buy their daughters the coolest clothing if they don't pay attention to what all the cool kids are sporting? Lesbians are quite the tastemakers these days.
