Tab Hunter

Starring in over 40 films in his 60-year acting career, Tab Hunter is a prolific actor, having captivated American audiences with his wholesome looks and innocent air. But while he was tugging the heartstrings of women across America and supposedly having affairs with Debbie Reynolds and Natalie Wood, he was hiding his identity from everyone. Still, he managed to make do, seeing men on the side, and all the while developing a close friendship with Divine. His 2005 autobiography, Tab Hunter Confidential: The Making of a Movie Star, marked his coming out to the public, and since then he has lived openly. Recently, Hunter has made the shift over to almost exclusively Indie productions. But his role as one of America's sweethearts--not to mention an out and proud star--earns him a place in the OUT hall of fame.
