400 U.S. corporationshave joined the Human Rights Campaign’s Business Coalition for the legislation.
“I’ll never forget when an assistant manager found out I was gay in the break room, marched out onto the floor, came right up to my face and said ‘wait, is it true you’re a f**?’” Buttigieg recalled.
The landmark piece of legislation for LGBTQ+ rights has been stalled in the Senate and the campaign had promised to make it a top priority in the administration.
The legislation would protect LGBTQ+ Americans from discrimination in various aspects of life but there's already a looming threat.
