5 Gay Bar Shirts We Love

In celebration of Issue 2 of Mouthfeel magazine--one of our go-to, food-forward, queer reads--we've opted to share a favorite feature from the publication: "Gay Bar Shirts." Mouthfeel editors dug up these vintage gems from the collection of Bryan Ray Turcotte, a punk archivist, who gave us some insight into the tees:

"I love these shirts so much. There is a certain danger that attracts me to them. Their graphic edge and bluntness make me excited inside. It's the same feeling I had seeing my first punk show and getting thrown into the circle pit. It's survival, pure and simple; frightening and beautiful. Gay culture, punk culture, gang culture, it all blurs together for me. Raw and to the point. It's powerful."

"In addition to our attraction to their design (timeless, raw and blunt)," Mouthfeel told us, "the story they tell hopefully lives on and inspires."
