Tyler Ashley is a choreographer and performer based in Brooklyn. He explores desire, endurance, vulnerability, and determination through image-based dance. Ashley has performed in AUNTS, Movement Research, PERFORMA11, The High Line, and at Contemporary Dancing at NADA New York 2013. As his persona The Dauphine of Bushwick, Ashley hosts Baby Tea: a monthly party that combines activism and a gay tea dance. Ashley's PAOM T-shirt captures the artist mid-performance—a self-portrait that reflects the current mood of anxiety and rage.
