  • For Mr. Hilfiger, the runway may be paved in imitation fieldstone, as it was on Sunday night in the Lincoln Center show space, but it’s still a big Sisyphean ball of khaki. Materially, the output will never exceed the creative input, and so he, Mr. Hilfiger of New York, Nantucket and Mustique, is doomed to repeat himself. Or, more accurately, the Hilfiger design team is.

Um, as if we needed another reason to love California-based Band of Outsiders designer Scott Sternberg (pictured at left, looking serious). He does a killer Cookie Monster impression and he's looking for a boyfriend who speaks elvish. Swoon(?).

V mag is ticking all our boxes this month with it's New York issue featuring a dapper Marc Jacobs and Lady Gaga as Lady Liberty on the cover. We don't really get the shopping trolley (who uses shipping trolleys in New York?), but we love the bubble-gum "V" (by artist Dan Colen). And that's not all. V created three other covers, each with different art and fashion darlings, including Marina Abramovic, Jake Shears, Lady Bunny, Marc Ronson, and Chloe Sevigny. Creative director Stephen Gan described Gaga as "a beacon of the city's creativity and hope." We couldn't agree more.
