Pay It No Mind

Marsha P. Johnson, the revolutionary trans activist, Stonewall instigator and Warhol model will be honored in a new documentary, 'Pay It No Mind', presented by Michael Musto at New York's IFC Center.

Marsha P. Johnson had the look of a demented Diana Vreeland and the personality to match. This outspoken activist and drag diva was a fixture in the downtown scene, and was even painted by Warhol. Her legend lives on (singer Antony even christened his band The Johnsons after her), and her story is now told in Pay It No Mind: Marsha P. Johnson. The documentary will screen as part of the monthly Queer/Art/Film night at New York’s IFC cinema on November 28, at 8 PM. Find out more info HERE.
