Having established a formidable career shooting for the likes of GQ, Esquire, Rolling Stone, and international editions of Vogue, photographer Roger Erickson returns to his home of San Francisco this summer, his portfolio brimming with striking prints of notable LGBT figures. Wanda Sykes, Greg Louganis, and Rachel Maddow round out the more than 80 celebrities and 20 prominent Bay Area figures whose black-and-white portraits are featured in Erickson's OUTspoken exhibition, which will be featured at San Francisco City Hall for three months starting on June 9. These luminaries -- many of whom the photographer shot for Out and The Advocate -- reflect Erickson's graceful audacity in a compelling synergy between artist and subject.
