Following CBS's How I Met Your Mother and Broadway's revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (which netted him a Tony), it seemed as if Neil Patrick Harris couldn't become more ubiquitous. Yet the multi-talent has only continued to saturate virtually every medium, starring on the big screen in Gone Girl and A Million Ways to Die in the West, and the small screen in American Horror Story: Freak Show, while widening his emcee duties as host of the 87th Academy Awards -- the first openly gay male host in the ceremony's history.
