After founding two successful record companies and co-founding DreamWorks SKG (a long way from having literally started in a mailroom), David Geffen is worth more than $6.9 billion. But it's his philanthropy that drives his power ranking now. Having supported various charities over the past decades, Geffen most recently donated $100 million to Lincoln Center to renovate Avery Fisher Hall, the center's largest concert building, which will be renamed David Geffen Hall.
