Dustin Lance Black is not only a television and film producer, director, and writer, he is also a passionate LGBT rights activist. Black was the top candidate for The Advocate’s “40 Under 40” in 2009 as one of the most influential, openly gay public figures. Dustin Lance Black is currently in a relationship with British Olympic diver Tom Daley. Black's 2008 film Milk, a biopic on famed gay San Francisco politician Harvey Milk, earned him numerous accolades and awards, including an Academy Award and a Writers Guild of America Award. He has also written episodes for television shows like Big Love and Faking It.
