K.NGSLEY Gets Kinky With Campaign For New Leather Boots
Let's get sticky.
K.NGSLEY, the New York-based brand founded by Kingsley Gbadegsin, is launching its first footwear campaign today. Featuring the brand's Made in Italy Clandestine Boot style, the campaign pulls inspiration from the kink and fetish community which falls in line with the brand's history.
"Welcome to CLANDESTINE CLUB," the brand wrote in a release about the campaign. "Take your PrEP, lace up your boots, it's about to get sticky.
"Ever wonder what you'd see if you turned the light on in the dark room?" the release continues. "Well there's no need at Clandestine Club, unabashed and liberated in total freedom to show up as yourself -- kink and all."
In the campaign, models appear in boots, underwear, and often little else. In one image, model Kelvin Dupres licks the featured boots, pulling from a fetish community profiled by Out in 2020.
This item joins other well-known products from K.NGSLEY like a cadre of tank tops that became ubiquitous in LGBTQ+ nightlife spaces over the span of the pandemic, as well as accessories like an earring and necklace based on the PrEP pill.
Before striking out on his own, Gbadegsin worked for brands like Versace, Balenciaga, Celine, and Loewe.
The Clandestine matte leather boot is available for $890. It features a lace-up back and side zip.
