"What do you do when you attach your name to a film and then end up hating everything you see?" asks Xfinity LGBT. For film producer and Star Trek star Zachary Quinto, it means a brutally honest takedown followed by disowning the project.

In Starz's The Chair, young filmmakers Anna Martemucci and Shane Dawson, who readers might recognize from his popular YouTube channel currently sitting at over 6.2 million subscribers, were each given the opportunity to create their own film using essentially the same script. An executive producer on both projects, Zachary Quinto recently attended screenings of both films, and while he was impressed with Martemucci's Hollidaysburg, he was not so kind to Dawson's Not Cool.

"When we watched Shane's movie yesterday, I was depressed for a couple of hours at least," Quinto explains in a preview of Saturday's episode. "I found it deeply offensive...it's not something in any version or by any stretch of my imagination that I can ever put my name on or be associated with."

Harsh words. Since 2008, Dawson's online presence has included comedy videos, impersonations, spoofs, skits, vlogs, collaborations, and even a foray into music, but can he survive this kind of criticism as he comes into his own as a director for feature length projects? Check out the show's website to find out how to see the films and to cast your vote, and watch The Chair when it airs on Starz Saturdays at 10 p.m.
