Singer beats Whitney Houston record from almost 20 years back

Adele’s not going anywhere.

The singer’s song "Set Fire to the Rain" just hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where her songs “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You” have also resided, meaning the group of singles is the first by one artist to have led the Billboard 200 concurrently with three Hot 100 number ones.

Also, 21, the album the tracks come from, has now been at the top of the Billboard chats for 17 nonconsecutive weeks, making it the longest-running number one record on the charts since the soundtrack for The Bodyguard came out in 1992 and you listened obsessively to “I Will Always Love You.”

Congrats to Adele—we’re glad to say we knew you when.
