thomas roberts

During a moving speech at the 2006 convention for the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association, CNN news anchor Thomas Roberts came out as gay. Roberts never faltered, and has since spoken out about sexual abuse in the Catholic Church and LGBT rights nationwide. In 2015, Roberts made history when he became the host of NBC Nightly News — the first openly gay TV news anchor for a major network.
