One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson Responds to Euphoria Gay Sex Scene

This weekend HBO's Euphoria aired a soft-core animated sex scene featuring none other than former One Direction bandmasters Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. The two are one of fanfiction's biggest ships, and the episode dove into the backstory of Kat (Barbie Ferreira), an infamous fanfiction author who spun tales of their backstage booty calls. The scene showed Styles and Tomlinson going at it (69-ing, to be exact) and while that would seem like a Larry (their couple name) stan's delight, many fans were actually pretty pissed, wondering if the scene was created without the musicians' consent.

As it turns out, they were right. Tomlinson fan Hannah tweeted that they were "just going to sit and hope that they for some reason approved it because surely they had to in order to get it aired, and while Styles "seems quite friendly with the people involved," they had a feeling Tomlinson was "not gonna like it."

Tomlinson chimed in, responding: "I can categorically say that I was not contacted nor did I approve it."

In 2017, Tomlinson spoke about the Larry ship, saying it had affected his friendship with Styles. "I'm so protective over things like that, about the people I love. So it created this atmosphere between the two of us where everyone was looking into everything we did. It took away the vibe you get off anyone. It made everything a little bit more unapproachable. I think [what's happened since] shows that it was never anything 'real' if I can use that word."
