Bring it to the mobile runway!

Today, World of Wonder and Leaf Mobile have announced RuPaul's Drag Race - The Mobile Game, a new game out later this year. The project is the product of a new multi-year partnership between World of Wonder, which produces Drag Race, and East Side Games, a subsidiary of Leaf.

"The team at World of Wonder is always looking for new ways to bring the Drag Race experience even closer to fans, and what better way than through a mobile game," World of Wonder co-founders Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey said in a release. "We are thrilled to partner with East Side Games on this charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent-filled mobile game experience!"

The free-to-win mobile game will allow players to become a part of the show, designing looks for runway challenges, getting RuMail, and even getting a few Ru-ism filled pep talks from Mama Ru herself. Fans of Jaremi Carey, known to Drag Race followers as Phi Phi O'Hara, may remember that Carey has often done "ball" challenges within Nintendo's Animal Crossing game -- maybe this new situation will resemble that. Some alums of the show will make "limited-time appearances" and the partnership includes exclusive rights for not only Drag Race but All Stars, Untucked, and international versions of the show.

The game is expected to launch on iOS and Android this year.

"We are excited for the opportunity to bring the Emmy Award-winning competition series, RuPaul's Drag Race, to mobile in partnership with World of Wonder," Darcy Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of Leaf, said. Leaf bills itself as Canada's largest publicly-traded mobile games company. "The franchise perfectly aligns with our group's values of inclusivity and we couldn't be prouder to bring the first big budget LGTBQ mobile game experience to audiences everywhere."
