We're pleased to premiere the video for "Hiding Place For Hearts" exclusively on Out.

Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace have released their first album in 5 years, Somethingness, part one of which came out last month. To accompany their new singles, which see the group returning to their earlier, guitar-led sound, the band are releasing a series of videos about an Uber driver, played by YouTuber Matt Santoro, and his experience driving around a motley assortment of passengers. Today, we're pleased to premiere their video for "Hiding Place For Hearts" exclusively on Out.

In the new clip, Santoro picks up a drag queen, who sits in front with him as she begins the process of removing her look from the night.

Vocalist Raine Maida explains: "The collection of videos for Somethingness are based around how different everyone's story is regardless of what the initial assumption might be. We all have layers that need exposing to see our true selves and "Hiding Place For Hearts" demonstrates this in the literal sense."

The video follows their visual for "Drop Me In The Water," which aired last month, and rather than a drag queen featured a couple in the midst of a fight. "Hiding Place For Hearts" more than anything seems to express a message of self-acceptance.

"I think our music has always championed a common thread of compassion and tolerance," Maida continues. "The idea that we are all in need of some type of repair, individually and as a whole, has been a pillar of my lyric writing over the years. Hiding Place For Hearts speaks directly to the idea of searching for that safe place where you won't be judged."
