The 10 Gayest Moments of New York Fashion Week

Nyfwgayhome

And we mean 'gay' in the best possible way

Move over, Paris and Milan, New York is the fashion capital where you will see the best street style, the most fabulous front row celebrities, the craziest fashion, and the queerest Fashion Week moments ever.

Here's our top 10 from the fall/winter 2014-15 collections:

Ndeg10: Hamish Bowles, Bryan Greenberg, Zachary Quinto & Joe Jonas at Richard Chai

The front row has never looked better. The ever-so-chic Hamish Bowles sat next to a dreamy bunch of Hollywood hunks at Richard Chai. Zachary Quinto later hosted the Todd Snyder afterparty, while Joe Jonas tried his hand as a guest fashion columnist for The Row, attending nearly every menswear show this season. We didn't know you loved fashion so much, Joe. Next season, come work for us!

Korean designer Siki Im was a stand out at NYFW not only for his stunning, '70s-inbued collection, but for the metallic tape eye makeup that the models sported throughout. We're sure they were delighted!

Ndeg8: Robert Geller's Bowie-inspired show

Designer Robert Geller decided to pay tribute to David Bowie's character in "The Man Who Fell To Earth," in which the singer plays a stranded extraterrestrial. The collection was full of extra-skinny leggings, neoprene gloves, and rubberized leather. Very sexy and completely otherwordly, like Bowie.

Ndeg7: Patrick McDonald's outfits

We had the pleasure to sit next to the evergreen dandy Patrick McDonald at Duckie Brown, so we decided to keep an eye on him throughout fashion week. Nobody does peacock-chic quite like him, and his new hair color was a tribute to another dandy, Mr Quentin Crisp. Hands down, the Best-Dressed Man of the Week.

Ndeg6: The clothes at Jeremy Scott

Jeremy Scott never fails to bring a playful take on menswear: His cheerleader-meets-football-jock collection was the most fun we've had all week.

The only thing that could possibly beat male models wearing Jeremy Scott fashion is fashion people at a Jeremy Scott show wearing Jeremy Scott. Paper magazine editorial director Mickey Boardman (left) and Perez Hilton (right) were the easiest to spot in the crowd, but a fashionably late Jared Leto (below) stole the show.

Just. Too. Much. Beauty. To. Bear.

The iconic Amanda Lepore sharing a bench with RuPaul alumn/Victoria's Secret hopeful Carmen Carrera and Orange Is The New Black star Laverne Cox left us gagging. We almost forgot that a pregnant Lil' Kim was also attending. Meanwhile, The Blonds delivered the same campy extravagance that we've come to love from them, with a collection inspired by Catwoman, full of dragalicious, Gaga-esque ensembles. Meow!

For her latest DKNY collection, Donna Karan decided to book New York residents to walk in her show. Knowing the melting pot that is the Big Apple, it was heartwarming to see such a diverse cast, with so many representants of the LGBT community as well. From left, the stunning Juliana Huxtable, genderbending model Andrej Pejic, and pansexual rapper Angel Haze, currently in the pages of Out's March issue. Brava!

Ndeg2: The streaker at Prabal Gurung

Boy, do we love a good streaker! A funny troublemaker decided to interrupt the Prabal Gurung presentation and show off his personal take on fashion. Nice leopard-print vine leaf, Sir, but we're a bit disappointed that you didn't go full monty like your little friend at Dolce & Gabbana, last season.

To quote everbody who attended Shayne Oliver's latest show, Hood by Air straight KILLED it!

Throughout the entire collection, models sluggishly made their way down the runway as electro-bass blasted the Chelsea Piers Studios, until a bunch of voguers showed up and tore that shit up. WERK! We were too excited to record it, but fashion blog Stop Drop & Vogue has a great video.
