Nothing says summer like promenading down the boardwalk with your crew, caps turned backward, a Sony boombox propped on your shoulder blaring "Ice, Ice, Baby" as the sweat trickles down the small of your back....
Oh, wait. It's not 1989 anymore -- unless we're talking degrees Fahrenheit!
Luckily there's a new way to enjoy sizzling summer music in the comfort of your air-conditioned home. Boombox, a new music show hosted by singer/rapper Cazwell, premieres today on on here! TV and here! Online.
The original series will feature "the latest from New York's downtown music scene, Cazwell's personal music vault, special appearances and surprise backstage interviews with the hottest music talent today."
So in addition to sick tunes and the can't-look-away-zing of Cazwell (see video below), we'll be feasting our eyes on surprise appearances by Caz's friends Amanda Lepore and J.D. Samson (of Le Tigre and Men), among others.
And if this video is any indication, we're in for quite a few other treats as well:
