For our September issue, available on newsstands now, we were feeling especially musically inclined. So much so that all three of our fall fashion stories are, in some way, centered around some of our favorite bands. First up are the mods, but with a slightly Eastern spin. Featuring labels like Versace, Prada, Kenneth Cole and Raf Simons, we look back on their graphically enticing visual appeal and how that its influence is still felt today.

Stella McCartney's killer fall 2011 collection vacillated between the comfortably practical and the sensually extravagant, but there was no denying that it was sure to be a hot ticket item when it hit sales floors. Already the line has received a lot of editorial love, including two interesting suspects, who wore the same dress with surprising results.

The American fashion titan is still working to ensure his empire -- which includes more than 10 men's and women's fashion labels, lifestyle products, fragrances, and a variety of other licensing deals -- remains fresh and forward-thinking. Take for example his Asian-inspired fall 2011 womenswear collection, a clear nod to the emerging Eastern markets.
