If that's true, then designer Prabal Gurung showed his adoration for the reigning king of American sportswear, Mr. Marc Jacobs, by dressing up as him for Halloween a few years back, as he told Refinery29.

To help promote the Gay Men's Health Crisis's annual Fashion Forward event -- which raises money for the foundation -- they've made a video feature a wild cast of exciting, sexy characters. Andrej Pejic, Jenny Shimizu, and a bevy of sexy models dance and shimmy in hopes of coercing you to buy a ticket.

Opulence and extravagance are still prevailing, but in radically different ways. Despite a lethargic economy, increased focus on ecommerce, and a generally uninspired consumer, retailers are still focusing on the store experience to generate excitement. But flashiness can come in two different ways. Take for example the monstrous beast that is the Fifth Avenue Uniqlo global flagship that we visited just yesterday. It was the perfect example of unrestrained excess.
