Sneak Peek: Jussie Smollett in CR Fashion Book

With Empire back on air for a second season, the show's breakout star, Jussie Smollett, is getting more ubiquitous in the press. This month, he and his fellow cast members appear in a stylish editorial for CR Fashion Book, photographed by Bruce Weber.

Smollett gives a candid first-hand account of his sudden rise to stardom. In the interview, he talks about being that "little chubby, insecure kid -- the child with the pimples who didn't feel good enough" (we think he's made a lot of progress in that department) and confronting bullies. He also addresses the death of his father, who passed away on the day the Empire pilot aired.
