Olivier Rousteing and Jeremy Scott (With Muses Jennifer Lopez and CL) Cover Paper Magazine's September Issue
Gay designers and their pop idols take over the newstands this fall, with two separate covers
Paper just revealed its latest cover stars: Balmain's Olivier Rousteing and Moschino's Jeremy Scott pose on two alternative covers with their muses, Ms one Jennifer Lopez and rising K-Pop star CL, for the September issue of the magazine.
Paper is honoring those two gay designers for bringing new energy and life to their respective fashion houses.
Rousteing, who covered Out's May issue, and Scott, who will be the subject of a new documentary coming out this fall, are credited for democratizing luxury fashion through their savvy use of social media and celebrity endorsements.
The fashion-special "Luxe in Flux" issue also features Riccardo Tisci, who will move his Givenchy fashion show to New York Fashion Week this season as the brand sets to open a flagship in Manhattan, and Alexander Wang, who recently left Balenciaga to focus on his namesake company. There's also some love for gay designer duos Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler, and Dan and Dean Caten of Dsquared2.
