Hi Nighthawkees!

Life has been crazy lately and is only getting CRAZIER! I adopted a cute puppy named Charlie for the week and my love for animals has grown even further. He's the cutest darn puppy in the world! I also started classes this week at the New School to finish up my PhD in clinical psychology (yeah you heard that right). As if my life wasn't busy enough, now it's even busier!

I'm making some changes in nightlife to keep things fresh and alive. As I mentioned last week I'll be starting a new party at Splash on Thursday, Sept. 20th called FUSION. The party is mixup of diversified music, styles, hosts, trends, themes, etc. We want to give people a bit of everything while still keeping it cohesive. We have SAK NOEL performing his hit single "Loca People" on October 4th. We also have scheduled Adam Lambert, Scissor Sisters, Carly Rae Jepsen and MORE for our future lineup! We have a slew of HOT BOYS (check the event wall for photos of them) hosting the events for us and the hottest DJs NYC has to offer. I expect to see all my Nighthawks there!

My group GSS (Gay, Sexy and Sophisticated) has grown exponentially. We are international with one member this week saying that they were recognized in a grocery store in Amsterdam by another GSS-er. The guy went up to him and said "I've seen you in GSS before, just wanted to say hi." I was thoroughly impressed by this admission. We are one of the most looked at and intelligent discussion groups on FB. We had to move our first event at XL to Friday, October 5th due to scheduling issues. We're looking very forward to this event!

I'll be moving my Saturday party, Twist'D, to a new venue on October 14th. Stay tuned for details of our new venue! :)

Be sure to come check out my new event on Thursday, Sept. 20th at SPLASH!

Xoxo,

Chris Ryan

Hey Nighthawkers!

It's been a while since I've posted here but it's been one crazy summer in NYC! As you must imagine things don't slow down they only get crazier in NYC. They don't call me one of the hardest working men in nightlife for nothing!

For the past few weeks I've been engaged in multiple projects including the authoring of a book, production of a music festival and the production/promotion of my four weekly events in NYC. My loyal hosts/Djs/attendees and I have been non-stop with our crazy events making sure that everyone that visits and lives in NYC is having NON-STOP F-U-N!

Our Nymfo-Disco Wednesdays in NYC teamed has become bigger than ever imagined. The dance party is mid-week and yet it keeps going until 4am (and sometimes even later). Our Invasion Thursdays have been one of the most unique and crazy events of the summer with people from all walks of life attending. We've had several unique parties that have captured the interest of those that would not normally come out. For example, last week we did a paint party at Invasion in which we asked everyone to wear a white t-shirt so that we could all paint phrases and images on the other. It was one of the most fun parties that NYC has seen! My FLEX Fridays events have had the boys of Hell's Kitchen goggly-eyed at the amount of eye candy and the muscle flexing that takes place. Last week we had a hot pop/dance duo, Kyven, (formerly featured on MTV) perform for the crowd. People were literally begging for more music from them, it was insane! Twist'D Saturdays has just been nuts, you can barely move in G Lounge. People are unbelievably intrigued by the nearly-naked Twister with our hot go-go boys and our HOT attendees. If guests aren't into the whole idea of being "nearly-naked" they can play the beer pong, which comes after. It's so much fun watching people trying to do beer pong at 1am!

Exciting news came this week as my business partner, Nathan Kelly, and I decided to move our event Thursdays from Bar 13 to Splash as of Thursday, September 20th. We're going to keep up with our crazy and unique themes but we're going to add a mix to the program. I've always been one for diversity and a fusion of sorts. We're going to appeal to more audiences with different shows, themes, hosts, DJs and more. We've already begun to plot out our ideas and we're VERY excited to share the final product with you!

Be sure to check out our exclusive event with OUT on Thursday, September 20th at XL before we head over to Splash at 10pm!

Xoxo,

Chris Ryan

The 4th of July in Provincetown

I was invited this year to take over Provincetown's Independence week, which is one of their largest gay weeks. Being that this is one of the most well known gay weeks in the United States I was elated to receive the honor of producing all the weeks events including the big night, 4th of July.

My friends and I arrived in Provincetown on Sunday, July 1st. We checked into the host hotel and instantly began partying with friends. Being that the next day I had to set up the pool party outside the hotel I was planning on taking it easy. I brought in most of the DJ's for all the events and the major sponsors as well. Absolut OUTrageous, WET, Andrew Christian & Timoteo sponsored the pool parties that took place at the Crown and Anchor, which is Provincetown's premier gay spot. We gathered models at the pool parties and had them change into very risque bathing suits provided by our sponsors. The bathing suits didn't leave much room for imagination to the appeasement of our guests. The models trotted around the pool and then all jumped in. They made out with each other in the pool and did other risque things with each other. Needless to say, the hotel guests were very satisfied with my production.

4th of July was the biggest night. We all watched fireworks from the beach and the dunes and then headed to the Crown and Anchor for DJ Abel's set. The 4th was by far the biggest night of the week. The Crown and Anchor, as well as other locations, were packed to the brim with people. The majority of guests were from New York, Boston and surprisingly Montreal. The 4th ended up being a huge success which resulted in pure happiness for all those that attended the events.

My production team and I look forward to being back next year in Provincetown!

Hey Nighthawks!

Thanks for visiting me over here once again! NYC PRIDE was absolutely epic as you can imagine. Epic in every sense of the word I should say. PRIDE is what you make of it and us NYC-ers aren't afraid to show more than a little pride. NYC gays were empowered, the energy was extreme and the happiness in people's eyes was contagious. Now let me tell you how I added to that!

My pride began on Wednesday, June 20th at the Ritz in NYC. I brought in a fantastic performer from London by the name of Holly T. to perform. She turned my crowd out at the Ritz with a stunning performance of "What Money Wants, Money Gets." The girl did a few spins and worked the stage/stairs in a very energetic performance that had the crowd begging for more. So naturally, she did one more and it was appropriately titled "Queen B*tch" (for all those b*tches who think they are QUEEN)!

Thursday got a bit more "cray-cray" when gays from all over the world helped us invade Bar 13 in the West Village. I personally like to invade all areas of NYC so I have my events appropriately placed in every gay "corner" of the city. We took over a three-level nightclub on Thursday with 5 different DJs, one HOT act by the name of Tokyo Black and dozens of cute boys including some hot Cocky Boys that came by after their stop-in at XL. We got wet in a big pool that we set up on our roof deck, then got even more wet as we dance the night away on the other two levels!

Friday we were at the Ritz once again in HK. I opened all three levels of the Ritz to allow for a MEGA gay party in HK (one of the biggest of all nights). We had the incredible LOVARI perform on our first level. He got the crowd screaming, clapping and dancing like crazy! It was rather an epic start to the weekend!

Saturday I headed to the event I am partnered in, Matinee. The boys and I got our dancing gear on and headed to Governor's Island for the water park themed event that included a giant inflatable slide, rainbow colored palm trees, decked out dancers and several other eye-stractions! The beautiful siren, Natasha Beddingfield, came on stage around 10:30 to perform her string of hits including a few hot newer tracks of other people. From nearly 4pm to 11pm we danced on the floor before heading back to the ferry and back to Manhattan.

Finally it was the big day! The streets were filled with tourists and of course NYC's own gays, gay-lebrities, drag queens, transexuals, lesbians and many more! We FILLED the streets with pride. The parade was an enormous success and our captain, Cyndi Lauper, showed her pride comfortably in a convertible that slowly wandered down the street. Later that night I had my spectacular event at 230 fifth avenue with Kat Graham and the incomparable Sherry Vine. As I promised, Mrs. Vine performed her hilarious version of Graham's "Put Your Graffiti On Me." We filled the rooftop and penthouse with a delectable group of gays that were happy but the exhaustion was in everyone's eyes by the end of the night. By 1am we were ready to head home and call it a night!

PRIDE was everything and NYC showed that to the fullest!

With Love,

Chris Ryan

As you can imagine things are pretty hectic right now. NYC pride is by far one of the largest in the world and tourists will be coming in from everywhere next week. We've actually already started to see an influx of tourists come in who felt they would get an early start to their NYC pride by popping into the parties this week. Pride is one of the most exciting times we gays experience in NYC because there's this energy present in the air that makes everyone giddier and nicer!

I, perosnally, have four events that I am running during pride and one that I am partnered with. My pride begins on Wednesday, June 20th with a kick-off at the Ritz in NYC. We have an exciting performer from London in town that goes by Holly T, she's quite fantastic and excited to get things moving with one of her electrifying performances of "What Money Wants, Money Gets." On Thursday the boys and I invade the 3 level nightclub coined Bar 13 due to it's home on 13th street and University in the West Village. And what better than a BIG porn star to start off our night by dancing nearly naked on the rooftop? Yeah, it does get better. After I try to recover from those two nights, pride weekend begins. On Friday I'm back at the Ritz and have 3 performers on all 3 levels of the nightclub (I'm not crazy, I swear)! Saturday I escape the island of Manhattan and head to Governor's island to partake in the Matinee event I'm partnered with, which promises to be one of the most exciting events of pride with a special surprise celebrity performance (HINT: This "gender" just wants to have fun)! And finally we make it to Sunday (barely!) for the BIG day! I have Kat Graham coming in from LA to perform at my rooftop pride event at 230 fifth avenue which we've appropriately named "The Rainbow Ball." Sherry Vine will be performing her parody of Kat Graham's song "Put Your Graffiti On Me" earlier (I won't mention the parodied name). Graham will take the stage later to perform the big hit.

Come Monday I will finally get to sleep (and eat)!
