I'm a Florida native born in Melbourne. When it came time to choose a college, the only city that had my attention was Miami with its flavor and energy. That led me to Twist. Twist nightclub has been a staple in the Miami gay community for almost 20 years, so I don't take the job lightly. As much as I get to have fun, hang with friends, and watch the whole spectacle from behind the bar, I have a huge responsibility--and that's to make people happy.
I've been a bartender for 10 years but only now do I feel I'm in my zone. With all its history and it's seven rooms under one roof, its almost as if you can bar-hop right inside of Twist. Who wouldn't feel lucky to call this place home? It's a place where, if you're a tourist, by default you'll end up here. A wide mix of people come to Twist where they'll run into tourists and locals alike just out having a good time. It goes without saying that we live up to our mantra: Never a cover, always a groove.
Besides work what can I say? I live in the sunshine state, so I like to just be out in the sun hanging with friends and just having a good time.
