Claude Cahun, A Parisian Like No Other

Looking at the work of Claude Cahun, a photographer and performer active in the early-1900s, one could easily think her surrealist works were produced today.

Cahun knew the people we see on the outside aren't the people they are on the inside.

Henri Michaux, 1925, is on the left, while on the right you'll find a married couple, André et Jacqueline Breton, 1935.
