John Oliver Suggests a RuPaul Run for President

It's been a long couple of months without a snarky, weekly does of John Oliver. Since Last Week Tonight took a break at the end of November we've had an unforgettable start to Trump's presidency, from the inauguration day lies to his cabinet of horrors, Oliver has missed out on some prime joke material.

But for his first episode back behind the desk he takes an issue that umbrellas over many others in today's political landscape: Trump vs. Truth.

Oliver elaborates on the dangers of a factually ignorant president and labors on the fact that this isn't a partisan problem. "Republicans should badly want our sense of objective reality to remain intact," he says, "just in case the democrats ever find their own appealing reality star to win back the White House - RuPaul, for instance."
