What better way to commemorate Michael’s sex-positive legacy?

When mentions of honoring someone's legacy are mad, people immediately brace themselves for whatever luncheon or charity sale they're about to be pitched. But George Michael's legacy, like most things involving the late pop star, will be honored in an unapologetic, sexy way.

This Saturday, April 8, Queer Tours of London will be throwing "George Michael Wants You," a party honoring Michael at Hampstead Heath. Not only was the location Michael's favorite cruising grounds, but April 8 marks the 50-year anniversary of the partial homosexuality decriminalization law.

After filing a law suit against News of the World, Michael told the BBC about his penchant for the area. "I don't know anybody who actually goes to Hampstead Heath at two o'clock in the morning for anything other than the reason of playing about with another member of the human race," he said. "If they are there, then they are a little bit strange of they just don't know the local area."

Michael was known for being pro-sex, and lived only half a mile from Hampstead Heath, which he called "the best cruising ground in London."
