Caitlyn Jenner to Appear on Next Season of Transparent

Transparent creator Jill Soloway revealed last night at the GLAAD Media Awards that Caitlyn Jenner will be joining Amazon's award-winning series.

Though Soloway didn't reveal any details about Jenner's character, she said they will begin filming her scenes next week, and that it was easy to get the 66-year-old former Olympian on board.

"We are all part of the same community," Soloway told the AP. "A lot of the trans women who work on our show are also in her show, I am Cait. Lots of crossover. Lots of friends."

I Am Cait, along with TLC's I Am Jazz, won Outstanding Reality Series, while Transparent won Outstanding Comedy Series at the 27th annual GLAAD Media Awards, honoring the celebs, shows, and movies providing the best of LGBT representation.
