Ellen Chats with Covergirl’s First Male Ambassador

Remember when getting your senior photos taken was just another part of your high school hell, replete with your mother reminding you that she'll be sending copies to everyone she knows?

These days some high school seniors are taking them a little more seriously, and for James Charles, it's what landed him a gig as the first male brand ambassador for Covergirl right next to Katy Perry, and in a seat across from Ellen DeGeneres.

After being disappointed by his first set of senior pictures, he told Ellen, Charles called the photography studio and asked if he could come in for retakes. After another round of glamming up and bringing his own lighting, Charles' new photos went viral and caught the attention of Covergirl, and the rest is history.

Charles also spoke with the host about how readily accepting his family was when he came out, and, how they were even ready and willing to accept him as transgender (which he is not) when he started doing makeup. Watch below.
