Spotlighting the top entrepreneurs and idealists who are changing the way we perceive the way we eat and drink, the second annual Fortune and Food & Wine list of the Most Innovative Women in Food and Drink include everyone from Lauren Bush Lauren, WaterAid's Sarina Prabashi and Barbara Frost, and Jessamyn Rodriguez of Hot Bread Kitchen. (The list is included in the October issue of Food & Wine and the September 15 issue of Fortune.) Also of note on the list of food luminaries, is lesbian chef Jennifer Johnson. A Getty family chef, the founder of Hip Chick Farms, and a former sous chef at Chez Panisse under organic food pioneer Alice Waters, Johnson has even cooked for President Obama.

She and her wife are the co-founders of Hip Chick Farms, a groundbreaking organic, ethically raised, frozen poultry product. Their frozen foods are found in over 1,000 nationwide stores -- including Whole Foods and Sprouts --the couple live on their farm, the Ramblin' Rose in Sebastopol, Calif. with their daughter Rubyrose.
