Watch: Ellen Page Asks Out Julianne Moore in First Freeheld Clip
The film has its world premiere, Sunday, Sept. 13 at the Toronto International Film Festival
In Out's October cover story, Ellen Page and Julianne Moore opened up about playing lesbian partners Laurel Hester (Moore) and Stacie Andree (Page) in the movie Freeheld. Hester was a 23-year veteran of New Jersey's Ocean County police force when she was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. She died in 2006 at the age of 49, and it began the fight for equal rights for her partner, Andree.
In this first clip from Freeheld, we see the begining of their love for one another.
The film debuts this Sunday at TIFF, and will be in select theaters Oct. 2. Watch the clip below:
