Listen to Two New Tracks From Empire Season 2

Empire returns for its sophomore season in just three weeks and in anticipation of must-see television event 20th Century Fox TV, Fox, and Columbia Records have just released two songs off the second season's soundtrack.

Jussie Smollett takes lead vocals on both "No Doubt About It" which features Pitbull (who co-wrote it with Ne-Yo) and "Aint About the Money," on which Yazz plays second banana.

"No Doubt About It" is a run of the mill Pitbull track, the Miami-born rapper rhyms words regardless of their meaning or general logic and sprinkles in a good helping of Dale. As Titus Andromedon once said of his break-out hit "Peeno Noir," "I've got a title, a beat and an attitude; as long as it rhymes, everything will be fines."

As for "Aint About the Money," it's basically Cookie Lyon's internal monologue: "Ain't about the money, it's about the power." You get the idea.

Empire premieres Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
