Featuring Oscar nominees and Emmy winners, next year's Sundance Film Festival boasts a handful of promising queer driven films.

Every January, filmmakers and film lovers storm Park City, Utah for the iconic Sundance Film Festival. Plenty of movies have premiered there and gone off to very successful futures. If you need examples, just take a look at Beasts of the Southern Wild, The Blair Witch Project, Little Miss Sunshine, Todd Haynes' Poison, and Precious. In addition to being critical successes, many of the movies that premiere at Sundance go on to be quite profitable along with being nominated for late-year awards like the Oscars and Golden Globes.

Now, Sundance Film Festival has announced the slate of films that will be screening in their U.S. Dramatic, U.S. Documentary, World Cinema Dramatic, and World Documentary categories, as well as the out of competition NEXT category. Amongst next year's offerings, there's a very promising selection of queer driven films that will attempt to make their mark on the film world. Here's hoping they're all as fabulous as they sound.
