Tig Notaro's One Mississippi has been one of this fall's most hotly anticipated shows. Produced by Louis C.K., Diablo Cody, and Tig herself, the Amazon Prime exclusive certainly has some stellar names behind it. But would it live up those names? we wondered. Yes. Yes it has.

Loosely based on comedian Tig Notaro's life, One Mississippi follows Notaro as she copes with her mother's death, her own cancer recovery, and the breakdown of her relationship with her girlfriend.
The show is very Notaro and C.K: bleak, cringe-worthy, and at times semi-surreal. If you're a fan of either Notaro or Louis C.K., you'll enjoy One Mississippi.
Between this and Transparent, perhaps a Prime subscription wouldn't be the worst gift to give yourself.
