While many know Bechdel for her strip Dykes to Watch Out For, the cartoonist has turned to autobiographical territory in her latest projects and received even more mainstream attention in the process. Following her 2006 graphic memoir, Fun Home, about her father, this year she published Are You My Mother? Subtitled A Comic Drama, it weaves in psychoanalysis to interpret dreams and Bechdel's relationship with her mom.
